First Prize Winner of the American Protégé International Music Competitions, Crescendo International Music Competitions and the Korea Times Competition for Music, John Joowon Han was also awarded a Second Prize at the Vision Competition in New York. He has been invited to perform at the Bruno Walter Auditorium at Lincoln Center, Steinway Hall, The DiMenna Center, Tenri Cultural Institute, Pusan University, and Ujung Art Hall, and recently made his Carnegie Hall debut in May, 2019. In Korea, he was featured in the 12th Opus Feast Concert as the youngest pianist performing both solo and chamber music, and also selected to perform at Hanseo University’s Piano Pedagogy Academic Seminar. His teachers include Haeryung Kwon, Jinyoung Kwak, and Yoojung Kim.
John is 7 years old and a second grader at John F. Kennedy Elementary School. Besides playing piano, John’s favorite hobbies include reading, painting, and playing violin. He resides in Great Neck, New York with his parents and sister Ye Seo.
