Biography
Pianist
William Hume is establishing himself as a soloist, collaborator and arts leader. He has performed on the National Public Radio program “From the Top,”
at the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage, and Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall.
William has received awards in numerous competitions, including The American
Prize, The ENKOR Piano and Violin Competition, where he also serves as an
annual jury member, The National Federation of Music Clubs, and The New Jersey
Young Artist Piano Competition.
William
is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music where he earned a Bachelor of
Music Degree and the Arts Leadership Certificate. He is currently pursuing a
Master of Music Degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy at New York University
and studies with Dr. Marilyn Nonken. Additionally, he serves as an adjunct
faculty instructor teaching piano to undergraduates. Working with local
schools, the Salvation Army, nursing homes, non-profits and professional music
organizations, William strives to enrich all audiences through educational
