Beyza Yazgan was born in Turkey and started playing piano at the age of 9. She started her doctoral studies in the Musical Arts at Warsaw Chopin Academy of Music with Prof. Alicia Paleta-Bugaj and completed her degree at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Conservatory with Prof. Hulya Tarcan in Turkey. In 2018 she earned a “Professional Studies" diploma from Mannes School of Music (NYC) at Prof.Yuri Kim's studio with a full scholarship by Koc Holding. 
Beyza won the first prize at the International 2002 Edirne Young Musicians Competition, the 2013 Success in Education Award-hosted by Koc Holding, the 2018 Josef Fidelman Contemporary Music Performance Award, 1st prize at the 8th Metropolitan International Piano Competition (NYC / 2019), 1st prize on piano and best chamber music award in International Music Academy Competition in Italy (Castelnuevo di Garfagnana / 2019) She has performed several times as a soloist with the Mimar Sinan Youth Orchestra and all around Turkey for solo recitals. She has also performed benefit recitals at the British and Italian consulates in Istanbul, for children with cancer and for Syrian Refugees. In 2018, she performed in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall as a guest of Jeju International Music Competition, Abrons Art Center for New York Electroacoustic Music Festival and at Teatro Alfieri as competition winner in Italy.
Beyza has taken part in masterclasses by world renowned artists Gary Graffman, Oxana Yablonskaya, Richard Goode, Vladimir Feltsman, Jeffrey Swan, Rolf Plagge, Daria Rabotkina, Helena Mullova, Solomon Mikowsky and participated in International Music Festivals such as Madrid Torrelodones Music Festival, Forum Musikae, New York International Keyboard Festival (2017), Castelnuevo di Garfagnana International Academy of Music (2019) and Art of Piano (Cincinnati / 2019). She currently lives in New York, works as an assistant of Prof.Yuri Kim. In addition to her love of the piano, Beyza also draws illustrations, composes and loves improvising.
