Jeffery S. King knew that music would always be a part of his life. His introduction to music began with piano at age 2 followed by violin in the first grade. Jeffery grew up in Plano, a quiet suburb in North Dallas, where he studied with violinist Jan Mark Sloman Principal Associate Concertmaster Emeritus, Dallas Symphony Orchestra throughout high school and at Southern Methodist University. He subsequently attended the Manhattan School of Music under the tutelage of Midori Goto. Additionally, he studied chamber music with Karen Dreyfus Lyric Piano Quartet, Amerigo Trio and Lawrence Dutton Emerson String Quartet.


Jeffery has won many accolades and awards including grand prizes in the 1999 Collin County Young Artist Competition, Texas and the 2003 Music Teacher's National Association Competition, United States. He has soloed with the Meadows Symphony Orchestra and the Plano Symphony Orchestra. He is an alumnus of the Heifetz International Music Institute, the Mimir Chamber Music Festival, the Omaha Chamber Music Society, and Alfred University’s MostArts Festival.


Jeffery was a violinist with the Omaha Symphony during the 2011-2015 seasons and was a founding member of the Rangbrook Ensemble. He has performed with various artists including Joshua Bell, Michael Feinstein, Andre Watts, LeAnne Rimes, and also under the baton of Alastair Willis, Marcelo Lehninger, and the late maestro, Kurt Masur. Jeffery currently performs with the Park Avenue Chamber Symphony where he made his Carnegie Hall debut with them in the fall of 2016. He was Quodlibet Ensemble’s executive director from 2017-2019. In his downtime, Jeffery is a mentor in Big Brothers and Big Sisters, enjoys table tennis, golf, foosball, and all the cultural treasures found in New York City.


Military


Jeffery S. King was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force where he was stationed at Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha Nebraska, home of United States Strategic Command. He was attached to the 97th Intelligence Squadron where he served as an Airborne Cryptologic Language Analyst, Tactical Support Operator, and Executive Assistant to the Commander. His tours of duty include Lackland Air Force Base (AFB), Medina Annex, Defense Language Institute at the Presidio of Monterey, Goodfellow AFB, Fairchild AFB, and Balad Air Base in Iraq. Jeffery received his Associate in Applied Science Degree in Communications Applications Technology from the Community College of the Air Force and Associate of Arts Degree in Chinese – Mandarin from the Defense Language Institute. He has deployed in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and New Dawn where he flew over 120 intelligence-oriented combat sorties. Jeffery’s awards include the Air Medal with five oak leaf clusters, Air Force Commendation Medal, Meritorious Unit Award with two oak leaf clusters, and Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon.


Business


Jeffery S. King is currently an Operational Risk Consultant at Wells Fargo in New York City where he is part of the Wells Fargo Regulatory Relations Program Management Team. He’s responsible for administering the firm’s Confidential Supervisory Information Guidance Training and Oversight program. Jeffery was previously at JPMorgan Chase & Co. where he was the North American lead for the Commercial Bank’s Office of Legal Obligation and select global workstreams in the Legal Regulatory Change Management space. Jeffery also led a quality assurance regulatory compliance team in testing Client Due Diligence Reports, Account Activity Review Reports for Correspondent Banks, and High Risk Politically Exposed Persons. Jeffery received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Degree in Financial Analysis from Creighton University.
