My name is Mirco Candeloro, but I go by the stage name Metanio. I am a composer and pianist, born in 1992. Music became a form of therapy for me to overcome a severe stutter. I started playing the piano at the age of 12 and began composing my first pieces just a year later.
My stage name comes from the unstable molecule of the same name, which is a metaphor for art seeking order from chaos to create and evolve. My neoclassical work combines classical technique with modern sounds in a minimalist style, turning my personal experiences into descriptive pieces like "When Love Begins", "Amalfi Sunrise", and "Soft Clouds Over Water".
I currently live between London and Vienna, and my music is available on all major digital platforms. I was selected for the Working with Music programme at the Vienna Music Institute, and I have performed at the VMI Concert Hall, the Edinburgh Music Festival, and in many other concerts, including at the Bösendorfer Hall in Vienna.
